Writing into the Void

I realize that I have not been keeping this blog updated as much as I originally wanted to, but at the same time have to acknowledge that I have been facing some personal disappointment. This blog only seems to get a few hits or people reading it now and again anyway, so sometimes I feel like I am just writing into the vastness of the Internet.

In addition, sales of my novel The Zumba Class have basically gone stagnant, which has in some ways not been inspiring as far as publishing my other two novels. However, I have only received limited feedback so far on my second novel Betty & Clark, which is closer to my heart than The Zumba Class. I recently finished typing out my third novel, which is a continuation of the storyline from Betty & Clark in some ways as it continues with Clark's life in the late 2030s to early 2040s. These two novels feel very important to me, but right now I am not sure if I will or want to publish them right now.

I have thought about trying to self-publicize The Zumba Class again, but it is hard to know what direction to go because I have so many other things on my plate right now.

In other news, I went to the TESOL Conference in Long Beach, California last week and gave a presentation with my colleague about the use of AI with our students on a writing project. It went well and because I felt prepared, I had the confidence I needed. After the presentation, I had a professor from a university in Peru come up to me and talk about the possibility of collaborating on some research with AI together. I emailed her this week and I am currently waiting to hear back from her.

Finally, spring has sprung. The daffodils are blooming and I have asparagus, cabbage, okra, and other seedlings doing well that I have started inside. The cabbage seedlings will actually go outside in a couple of weeks. As far as spring crops that are growing outside, I have lettuce, arugula, tatsoi, and pea plants germinating and growing slowly but surely.

I have more to say, but because I am not sure how many people will actually see this, I have decided to keep it brief.

Therefore, dear reader, please consider liking or leaving a comment as an encouragement for me to keep doing this blog.

Late Summer Thoughts

I apologize for not updating this with a post sooner, but things have been busy. The semester started last week and it is going pretty...
