Short Getaway to Michigan

We drove up to South Haven, Michigan for a very short getaway on Tuesday and came back on Wednesday. South Haven is a lovely little town in southwest Michigan along the coast of Lake Michigan. I put some pictures of the beach that we went to on Tuesday afternoon and it was nice even though it was very windy and I didn't get in the water. I did walk to the end of the pier and the first picture of the second row is looking towards the horizon. I did include a picture of myself because I found this sweater/hoodie for a decent price that has South Haven on it.
South Haven is a town though that is full of tourists during the summer season. All of the restaurants were busy and the downtown shopping area was packed. We did manage to eat some good food though, which was great. The weather was not too hot and even cold on Wednesday morning when we went to pick blueberries. We managed to pick over 25 pounds of blueberries. I have already made two blueberry pies and have plans to make blueberry vodka and some blueberry jam and do some canning.
In other news, I am still working on my novel. In my notebook, I am up to 178 pages, but then realize that the pages are not as big as what I have used to write before and my writing has gotten bigger. I think each page might average only 250-300 words a page, so it is not as long as I thought. I have just added another character that I am introducing and givng a narrative to, but now I am thinking that I am not going to get this draft done before the start of the semester. I am to the point too where I feel like I am probably 60-70% done and it must be horrible and not good at all. I already have come up with possible criticisms that I feel like a publisher or editor would make and I don't know how I feel about those. I think that I am going to keep writing and try to finish this draft and then go from there. Once again, I write this like I am already a published author and have an agent, publicist, publisher, etc., which at this point is still a dream in the sky unless I actually try to do something. However, if democracy falls in November then these dreams in the sky won't matter.
For the love of God, the country, and democracy, please Biden gracefully drop out of the race now!
