It's June!

And just like that, it's June as I have titled this post and I know there are many things to celebrate and love about this month for many people, so I hope that everyone has a great month!

First, I wanted to share this video of a bee giving some love to the Beardedtongue flowers that I think I showed in a picture in the last post. I am glad the native plants are doing their jobs too and loving on the pollinators and the bee in the video is as busy as can be and even seems to be enjoying itself with the flowers, haha!

The above two pictures are of some mini garlic cloves that seemed to randomly come up this year that I did not plant unless they are leftover from last summer. Anyway, I ended up roasting them up in the cast iron skillet with some butter, sugar, red wine, vinegar, and salt and then put it all in the oven for about 10 minutes. Did not have a lot, but for the most part they were a tasty side dish.

I have finally reached season 4 of White Collar and I have read online that season 4 and 5 are the least favorite seasons of the show, but are still good. I have yet to find it boring or not interesting though and still enjoy it! I like the dynamics between all the actors and the witty intelligence in the show. (I wish Netflix would have Korean subtitles though so that Zoe could enjoy it more too.) We have also started watching the Korean drama Atypical Family in English on Netflix and it is interesting.

I am currently reading The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. I have read it before, but it has a lot to ponder and consider in the short little book. I don't think it matters whether or not you are someone who believes or is a Christian, but I think we or most people can agree that C.S. Lewis was a great writer.

I am also trying to make progress on a blanket that I am knitting and hope to have done sometime this year. It is by far going to be the biggest blanket to date that I will have made when it is complete, so that is something, just have to finish it! I wish they were easier to make, so that I could make more blankets faster and give them away to all the people I want to make one for!

The last thing that I will mention is my third novel that I have started that is a continuation of sorts about Clark and his life from Betty and Clark (my second novel). I started it all excited and thinking about some ideas about how it might go. I quickly realized that the novel has to take place in 2039 and things have drastically changed in the nation due to climate change and the political landsape, which is all background information but important to understanding Clark's position at the start of the novel. A new character, Caleb, an eighteen year-old finds himself staying with Clark now at the very beginning. This should sound familiar to those of you who know about Betty and Clark. Needless to say, I am writing it, but the direction it is going is a lot different from what I think I envisioned before I started, but that's writing. I don't know if it is good at all, if I like it that much, or it seems plausible or realistic, but I know that I will continue to work on it. (I apologize if this is kind of repeating a lot of what I said in the previous post, I forgot what I wrote. haha!)

I would like to say that I just write because I want to write, it is a hobby and that's cool, but sometimes I admit that I have thought it would be cool to see one of my novel's published and see what happens. Maybe people would like it and it would actually sell some copies, but that seems like a lot of effort. Maybe at some point, I will get sick of wondering and figure out how to put together a form letter and what I need and send it in to a bunch of publishers and wait for all the uniformed rejection letters to follow, haha! Sometimes I think I have a lot of crazy dreams and not sure what to do with them at times.

Late Summer Thoughts

I apologize for not updating this with a post sooner, but things have been busy. The semester started last week and it is going pretty...
