Cafe 낙랑파라

I apologize for not posting for a while, but I was busy preparing for our trip and now being on our trip. We have been gone for a couple of weeks after spending a week in Thailand and now we are in Seoul, Korea for a while.

It has been quite busy seeing and meeting people, eating great food, and just enjoying being here even though it is very hot and humid!

I wanted to show some pictures (see above) and show a quaint cafe (Cafe 낙랑파라 - 아현 동/near Ahyeon Station) that is a quiet and local place not like the big coffee chains like Starbucks and Coffee Bean that are everywhere. The drinks are good and reasonably priced, but I particularly like the retro decor that you can find in here. I like the poster for The Royal Ballet, and the random vinyl covers for records/movies like The Graduate, which is one of those slightly weird/funny movies from the 1960s with a great soundtrack.

Anyway, I hope to go in here one morning possibly with my laptop and do some work or simply take my notebook and do a short writing while sipping a cool drink. I thought on this trip that I was going to have some nice quiet time to myself to relax and write some short proses about different smells, read, or just journal, but that has not really happened yet. I have managed and made myself eke out two journal entries so far, but other than that nothing. It's okay, but I find myself wanting a bit more quiet time to myself at times.
